Random is about all…
I’ve got these days. So muchas gracias to Kate at A Simple Walk for this meme tag. The task is to share 6 random things about myself.
Yes, that list could be six times six at this point in my life. I’ll spare you the details and instead confine myself to just the six random things that happened to me today. How about that for a twist on the meme?
1) After waiting over an hour to see one doctor, I realized I was in the wrong room and actually scheduled to see another doctor. When offered to reschedule in 6 weeks to 2 months for the original doctor, I chose to remain with the one present. A doc in the hand is worth 2 months of waiting to begin waiting to figure out the issues!
2) In light of gas dropping almost 20 cents in the last week in these parts, I decided to try and fill up my van. Just as I pulled up to the line, the attendant put up a sign, “Pumps running slow.” I timed how long it took. Right around one minute and 5 seconds per gallon of gas. In front of me, a 25 gallon tank Tahoe.
3) I stopped for coffee at a drive through today and was told it would take 7 minutes to brew the coffee I wanted. I opted to wait and pulled over to the side to receive at my door service. 15 minutes later I realized that they had forgotten all about me. I still left with my coffee.
4) While undergoing a certain medical procedure today, all I could think during it was, “This event may be figured as the next interrogation scene on 24. I’ll tell them anything they want to know.”
5) I love hand-me-downs. A lovely mom whose son plays soccer with mine gave me some wonderful items for my boys. That was a highlight moment to the day’s other events.
6) Patience (needs work) and provision (thanks be to God) were the hallmark spiritual lessons of today for me.

The day is only halfway through so I can only give you half the required random things.
First, I have read several blogs but never commented. So this is a first and totally out of character for me.
Second, I hate to clean house but it’s actually raining outside so I can’t escape. So I was doing my usual hit the highlights and realized that I have a lot of dust bunnies. (probably from the dog and cat). Now I’m cleaning from ceiling to floor. I wish it would stop raining so I could escape.
Third, why is it that extra kids always show up around lunch time? So I have scrounged around to find an adequate lunch for 4 hungry boys. Now, what am I going to feed myself.
Is it unkind to say that my favorite event of your day was No. 4? Well, not the procedure itself, just the thought that it could be used as an interrogation scene on 24.
I enjoy your humor. And yes, thanks to God for His provision in all the events of our lives.
