Anecdotally speaking…

there’s a large manger full of fodder when it comes to children and their understanding of Scriptural truth.

One of my favorites from years ago is a little girl who was attempting to learn and sing with gusto “This Little Light of Mine.” Obviously impressed by her teacher that no way, no how did Jesus want His disciples to hide the light of His truth from unbelievers, and also possibly equally impressed by the influence of her own life experiences, this little singer had a whole new way of expressing a believer’s convictions.

And so she sang, “This little light of mine. I’m going to let it shine. Hide it under a bush, Hell no! I’m going to let it shine.”

Would that every true believer be as suitably impressed with personal conviction regarding the truth and necessity of God’s Truth and so not hide it either.
